Le peintre new-yorkais H. Craig Hanna a étudié à l'université de Syracuse (1991), à la Fine Arts School of Visual Arts (1996) et à la New-York Academy of Figurative Art en 1998. Il peint à l’huile depuis 1994. Au contact de son professeur John Foots, il est sensibilisé à la peinture figurative. Les œuvres de Diego Vélasquez l’éduque picturalement tout comme celles Bonnard, Vuillard, Kokoschka et Schiele. Il commence à exposer son travail à l’âge de 29 ans chez Bergdorf Goodman à New York, à la Cynthia Corbett Gallery à Londres, à la Amalia Johnson Contemporary à Hong-Kong et à Malte. Sélectionné en 2001 et 2006 ni pour le BP Portrait Award, il est primé en 2001 pour son œuvre Carlos. Il a vécu et expose à Malte, Londres et à Paris.

New York painter H. Craig Hanna studied at Syracuse University (1991), the Fine Arts School of Visual Arts (1996) and the New York Academy of Figurative Art in 1998. He paints with oil since 1994. In contact with his teacher John Foots, he became aware of figurative painting. The works of Diego Vélasquez educate him pictorially as well as those of Bonnard, Vuillard, Kokoschka and Schiele. He began exhibiting his work at the age of 29 at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, at the Cynthia Corbett Gallery in London, and at the Amalia Johnson Contemporary in Hong Kong and Malta.
