Et Dieu créa la femme! Le peintre américain Richard S. Johnson nait en 1953 à Chicago dans une famille d'artistes. Lors de son séjour à l'école primaire, il est accepté comme chercheur à l'Art Institute. Diplômé de l'American Academy of Art, il se lance dans une carrière d'illustrateur. Son style a l'excellence technique du romantisme pré-Raphael mêlé à l'expressionnisme et à l'abstraction contemporains. Il a peint le portrait de John F. Kennedy accroché à la bibliothèque JFK à Boston. Ses coups de pinceau sûrs, l'utilisation audacieuse de la couleur et de l'empâtement, le rendu délicat du visage humain et de la forme travaillent tous ensemble en harmonie pour réaliser une œuvre d’"intimité poétique".

And God created woman! The American painter Richard S. Johnson was born in 1953 in Chicago to a family of artists. In primary school, Johnson was accepted as a scholar to the Art Institute. A graduate of the American Academy of Art, he embarked on a career as an illustrator. His style has the technical excellence of Pre-Raphael Romanticism mixed with contemporary Expressionism and Abstraction. He painted the portrait of John F. Kennedy now at the JFK Library in Boston. Johnson's sure brush strokes, bold use of color and impasto, and delicate rendering of the human face and form all work together in harmony to create "Poetic Intimacy".
