Le peintre américain George Condo naît en 1957. Il étudie l'histoire de l'art à l'Université du Massachusetts. Après 2 ans, il s'installe à Boston et devient sérigraphie. Il rejoint le groupe « The Girls with Abstract ». Ses premières expos ont lieu dans le East Village entre 1981-83. Il travaille avec Andy Warhol. En 1983, il déménage à LA et expose. Puis, il travaille en Allemagne. Il rencontre Barbara Gladstone en 1984, Keith Haring et produit « Dancing to Miles ». Avec William S. Burroughs, ils achèvent « Ghost of Chance » en 1991. Il fait la couverture de livre et d'album de Kanye West. Il a des expos dans des musées de Houston, Paris, NY, Baden-Baden, Buffalo. Condo. Il travaille et réside actuellement à New York.
The American painter George Condo was born in 1957. He studied art history at the University of Massachusetts. After 2 years, he moved to Boston and works in serigraphy. He joins the group "The Girls with Abstract". His first exhibitions take place in the East Village between 1981-83. He works with Andy Warhol. In 1983, he moves to LA and exhibits. Then he works in Germany. He meets Barbara Gladstone in 1984, Keith Haring and produces "Dancing to Miles". With William S. Burroughs, they complete "Ghost of Chance" in 1991. He makes the cover of Kanye West's book and album. He has exhibitions in museums in Houston, Paris, NY, Baden-Baden, Buffalo. Condo. He currently works and lives in New York.
