KATHLEEN MOIR MORRIS, (Groupe de Beaver Hall)
La peintre montréalaise Kathleen Moir Morris nait en 1893. De 1907 à 1917, elle étudie le dessin avec William Brymner et Maurice Cullen à l' « Art Association of Montreal ». Elle participe à l’exposition du printemps. Le portraitiste, Robert Harris s'intéresse à sa carrière. En 1920, elle est membre du « groupe de Beaver Hall » et participe aux expositions du « Canadian Group of Painters » . De 1923 à 1929, elle est à Ottawa et expose avec l'« Art Association » locale. En hiver, elle dessine à Québec, dans les Laurentides, à Berthierville, Montréal et Ottawa. Ses sujets sont des bâtiments, chevaux, traîneaux et marchés d’hiver. En 1929, elle est membre associé de l'Académie royale des arts du Canada et participe, de 1916 à 1958, à ses expositions. Elle meurt à Rawdon, au Québec, en 1986.

The Montreal painter Kathleen Moir Morris was born in 1893. From 1907 to 1917, she studied drawing with William Brymner and Maurice Cullen at the Art Association of Montreal. She participated in the spring exhibition. Portraitist Robert Harris was interested in her career. In 1920, she became a member of the Beaver Hall Group and participated in the Canadian Group of Painters Exhibitions. From 1923 to 1929, she is in Ottawa and exhibits with the local Art Association. In winter, she draws in Quebec City, Laurentians, Berthierville, Montreal and Ottawa. Her subjects are buildings, horses, sledges and winter markets. In 1929, she became an associate member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and participated in it’s exhibitions from 1916 to 1958. She died in Rawdon, Québec, in 1986.
